About Chabad of Fort Wayne
An Open Door to Jewish Life
Chabad of Fort Wayne exists to make Jewish life accessible to everyone — no membership required, no judgment, no prior knowledge expected. Its purpose is simple: to create a warm, welcoming place where any Jewish person can explore and experience their heritage, whether they walk in deeply observant or simply curious.
Chabad is part of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement, one of the most recognized forces in Jewish outreach and education. Founded in Fort Wayne in 2021, the center has been building Jewish life in northeast Indiana ever since.

Meet the Danows
Rabbi Levi & Leah Danow
Rabbi Levi Danow was born in Gothenburg, Sweden and raised in Leeds, England, where his parents established a Chabad center for Jewish students. He trained in rabbinical schools across the United States, Israel, and the United Kingdom, and was ordained by Rabbi Yitzchak Yeruslavsky, Chief Rabbi of Kiryat Malachi, Israel.
Leah Danow grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where her family directs The Shluchim Office, the international support center for Chabad emissaries. A graduate of Beth Chana Teachers Seminary, she has served Jewish communities across North America and directed Jewish children’s overnight camps.
